01About AI Resume Builder
AI Resume Builder is an AI-assisted resume application developed by Kripesh Adwani, operating under Cyberclaw Technologies (UpskillAI). It imports your existing resume or LinkedIn export, builds a structured profile of your career called your Career Brain, analyses how complete it is, and helps you generate resumes from it.
The app can also tailor a resume to a specific job posting you provide, draft a cover letter for that posting, prepare likely interview questions with coaching notes, and give feedback on a practice answer you type or speak aloud. Where you choose to dictate rather than type, the app records audio only while you hold or tap the record control, sends it for processing, and deletes it once the result comes back.
By default, your Career Brain lives only on your device. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, it is also backed up to our cloud database and synced across your devices, as described in Section 03 and Section 04.
By accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use AI Resume Builder.
03Accounts and sign-in
Creating an account is optional. Every core feature of the app, including import, analysis and resume generation, works fully without one. If you choose to sign in, you do so with your existing Google or Apple account: we do not offer a separate AI Resume Builder username and password.
You are responsible for keeping your Google or Apple account secure, since anyone with access to it can access your Career Brain and resumes once you have signed in. Tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or terminate your account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, or where required by law. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. See Section 04 and our Privacy Policy for how.
04Your data
By default, the app stores your Career Brain locally on your device. We keep no copy on a server in this case, which means we cannot read it, and it also means we cannot restore it if something happens to your device.
If you choose to sign in, your Career Brain is also backed up to our cloud database and synced across your devices, for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and its cloud data at any time from Profile → Delete Account inside the app, or by requesting deletion at upskillai.io/delete-ai-resume. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention and deletion.
You are responsible for your own backups. If you use the app without signing in, and you uninstall the app, reset or lose your device, or your device storage is corrupted, your data is permanently lost, and we cannot recover it for you.
Sign in to keep a synced backup, to protect anything that you cannot afford to lose.
05AI-assisted content, and why you are the author
The app uses AI to read your document, suggest improvements, rewrite your experience descriptions into stronger phrasing, tailor a resume to a job posting, draft a cover letter, generate interview questions, and comment on a practice answer. AI output can be wrong. It may misread a date, misattribute a role, overstate a result, misread a job posting, or produce a claim that is not accurate.
Review every resume and cover letter before you send it to anyone. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the content you produce with the app, including a tailored resume, a cover letter, and anything you repeat from it in an interview. A tailored resume in particular is written to match a posting, so check that every claim it makes about you is one you can stand behind. Submitting inaccurate, inflated, or fabricated claims to an employer is your responsibility, not ours.
The app is a writing and organisation tool. It does not provide career, recruitment, immigration or legal advice, and we make no promise that using it will lead to interviews, offers, or employment of any kind. Interview questions and answer feedback are practice material generated by AI. They are not a prediction of what an employer will ask, and a match score or gap analysis is our software's opinion, not an assessment of your suitability for a role.
Every screen that displays AI-generated content carries a Report AI Content action. If the app produces something inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise wrong, please use it to tell us.
06Job postings and links you bring into the app
To tailor a resume you give the app a job posting, either by pasting its text, uploading it as a PDF or Word file, or pasting a link to it. When you paste a link, the app makes a single request from your device for that public page and extracts the posting text from it. It sends the site nothing about you: no career data, no contact details, no account information.
Many job boards block automated fetching, and some prohibit it in their own terms. Where a link cannot be read, the app will tell you and ask you to paste the text instead. You are responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to use the material you bring into the app, and for complying with the terms of the site you took it from. Do not paste confidential postings, internal documents, or anything you are not permitted to share.
A job posting is treated strictly as material to be read, never as an instruction to the app. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any third-party posting, and fetching one is not an endorsement of the employer, the role, or the site hosting it.
07Acceptable use
You agree not to use AI Resume Builder to:
- fabricate qualifications, employers, credentials, or work history
- impersonate another person, or upload someone else's document without their permission
- carry out fraud, deception, or any illegal activity
- infringe intellectual property or breach confidentiality, for example by pasting an employer's confidential material into the app
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's prompts, keys, or models
- automate, script, or otherwise abuse the app's AI features or exhaust its capacity
- record another person's voice without their knowledge and consent
- submit a job posting, document, or link that you are not permitted to use, or that you obtained in breach of another site's terms
- attempt to make the AI produce harmful, deceptive, or unlawful content, including through instructions hidden inside a document or job posting you supply
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, including your account, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
08Your content and ownership
You own your career data and the resumes and cover letters you create. You grant us only the limited, temporary permission needed to process your content in order to deliver the features you request, which means extracting, analysing, enhancing and tailoring it, drafting letters and interview material from it, and reviewing a practice answer you type or record, including transmitting the relevant content to our AI provider for that purpose and, if you sign in, storing and syncing it in our cloud database. We claim no ownership of your content, and we do not use it to train our own models.
09Intellectual property
The AI Resume Builder application, the Career Brain name and branding, its design, templates and related assets are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own career purposes.
10Third-party services
The app relies on third-party providers for AI processing, authentication, cloud sync, crash reporting and analytics. Those providers process data under their own terms, and their availability is outside our control. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is shared, with whom, and why.
11Service availability
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time without prior notice. AI features depend on third-party infrastructure and may be temporarily unavailable, rate-limited, or degraded. Where AI is unavailable, the app is designed to fall back to your original, unmodified content wherever possible.
Each AI request costs us money to run. We may introduce reasonable usage limits on AI features, or offer some of them as part of a paid plan in future. Where we do, we will make the limit clear in the app before it affects you, and the features that run entirely on your device, including editing your Career Brain and exporting a resume you have already generated, will remain available.
12Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Resume Builder and its developers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of career data (whether stored only on your device or also synced to our cloud database), missed job opportunities, rejected applications, reputational harm, business interruption, or any consequence arising from AI-generated or AI-enhanced content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which may be nil where the app has been provided to you free of charge.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app, your breach of these Terms, or from content you submitted to an employer or any third party.
14Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.
15Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of AI Resume Builder after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
